No Words to Describe This Week

Last week was exhausting. And continues to be this week.

Where to start. . . I guess with Dads Birthday on the 28th. That day we went sledding and I told Dad sledding on little pink sled should make him feel young. The girls helped to decorate his cupcakes and they decided his favorite colors are pink and purple so that is what he got. What a lucky guy.

On Monday I started my week of no sleep. Keeley had nightmares causing sleep talking and crying which lead to Brinley being awake and crying. On Tuesday Brinley broke out in rash and by Wednesday I discovered it was chicken pox and my brother, Sean arrived for a visit, lucky him. By Thursday I had accomplished 8 hours of sleep in 96 hours. I think that is a record for me. Thursday night was the night Brinley itched and itched. She did very good to stop when I reminded her I'm sure it didn't feel very good. Friday was Gails Birthday! Yay for that but I never got to talk with her because I was rear-ended by a drunk driver Friday. $2000 of Damage to the rear of my moms new car and my back is sore but I'm just lucky that is all that was done. The girls were not with my thank heavens. Saturday I was tired (although I did get 8 hours of sleep that night doubling the sleep I had received in that past week), emotional, sore and trying to deal with the accident Friday by a doctor visit and calls to insurance. Sunday. Thank goodness for Sunday! Brinley had to stay home with Chicken Pox so it was just Goose and I. I got to listen to the talks and I had an awesome spiritual Sunday. Until nap time that is when I caught Keeley poking Brinley with a toy to wake her up. I'm pretty sure the spirit left at that moment. Now we are back to Monday. Brinley is looking much better all scabbed up and healing well. Her head is the worst of it. I spoke with the insurance guy again and it sounds like they are pretty good company and we shouldn't have any issues with them paying for Dr bills and Car Repairs. I have found a solution to Brinley still waking up in the night and that includes an air mattress for me and a pack and play for her in the basement so everyone else can sleep and I can ignore her. Last night everyone was able to sleep in there original beds and not be moved around. We didn't get up until 6.

Brinley and the Pox

So here it is Tuesday the start of a hopefully much better week. I hope my back feels better and Brinley recovers from her Chicken Pox soon. Grateful for the small tender mercies of last week.

If you wondering about Matt he is doing well. He hasn't had work since last Wednesday as they moved the equipment to a new rig. He was suppose to start last night but I went to bed at 8:30 so I didn't get to talk to him. His biggest concern last week was keeping me from having a complete and total meltdown. Its still in debate if I have totally lost it. The verdict should be in this week.
