*Side Tracked*

Sorry if my last post seemed a little abrupt. It didn't end with some special note to baby Boo who has grown so fast rather just was left with the facts. Here is why:
While I was writing the "Half Birthday" post Brinely sat quietly next to me on the kitchen floor after my photos uploaded I looked down at Brinley to say hi and found her in poop up to her ears. literally. I have photos to document it. Eventually I'll get them off of Matt's camera to share with all of you. gross. I had to take her outside strip her naked spray her down with the hose then give her a warm bath to get her smelling normal again. Next time you think "Why hasn't Meg posted anything?" you will know I am a little traumatized. At least you will all believe me when I say she blows out every time. Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

half birthday

Brinley celebrated her half birthday with three shots at the doctors and a check up. Whoop Whoop! We had to go back for a quick little check up this week again to check on her ear and now I can give the official healthy baby stamp to her.A little bit about Brinley at 6 months
  • she sits like a pro and is starting to creep on her belly just a little bit
  • loves to be cuddled to sleep
  • is known as Baby Boo in our house. It sounds the cutest when Keeley says it.
  • She loves her little monkey sit and stand toy.
  • She is the happiest little thing and so chill all the time
  • I have been told twice this week that I need to enter her in baby contest. I have to agree she is pretty darn cute.
  • She slobbers like crazy (I mean like 2-3 outfits a day) and yet isn't teething.
  • She still has beautiful red hair and it is getting longer. Yippee
  • She wakes up at least 2 times a night. Ugh.
  • EV-ER-Y time she poops its a blow out (and yes I have tried different diapers and different sizes no luck, in other words I have a lot of laundry to do each week between slobber and poppy outfits.
  • She's 15 lbs 4 ounces (39% percentile) and 27 inches (94% percentile). That is only one percent smaller than Keeley in both weight and height.

For Old Times Sake

I laughed so hard when I saw this so i just had to post it. I know it is one of those things that isn't that funny to everyone else but it is to me. Maybe you just have to know my Dad.

Halloween

Halloween was a hit this year for Keeley. She asks me every day if we "can have Halloween." They made some pretty cute monkeys, the cutest if you ask me.
Matt did an install job to start the day off then when he came home we carved a pumkin, made some chilli (P.S. coke taste horrible in chili, in case you were going to try it) and then headed off to the Halloween Carnival at the church. Keeley loved it and we are still enjoying the candy from that.
After the carnival we went and did some traditional trick or treating just to say we did it NOT because they needed any more candy!

Brinley slept through most of Halloween but when she woke up she found her tail and spent some time playing with that while we did the last few houses. All in all it was a great day and a super fun filled weekend.

Fall Carnival

We had a ton of fun with our friends the Ellingtons on this excursion to the pumpkin patch.
Wesson and Keeley are best buddies. I LOVE this little boy he can hold Keeley's hand ANYTIME.Wesson is the man version Keeley. They are crazy together but less crazy than when they are apart plus they are so into each other.
While we were there we. . . .
jumped
rode tall slides
talked with the clown
took a hay ride

played on the fire truck
got a heart balloonrode the airplanes several times :)
and picked out the "perfect" pumpkin

What a day. Ohh by the way this precious little thing was HAPPY the entire time. What a good baby I have.

Whats "In" this Fall

Solids. . .

Isn't she cute with food in her mouth. Brinley started solids just after 4 months and she is becoming a pro at it these days. Her favorite. . .carrots but green beans should be left at the store in her opinion.
