Santa 2010

In true Roberts (former Conner) tradition, I wanted to share this years Santa photo and story. I love this tradition because I get to see my family change over the years.

2010Keeley ran right up to Santa this year and got there before either Matt or I so Santa helped her onto his knee. She promptly sat on his lap and instantly started telling him what she wanted for Christmas. Her list: a Zhu- Zhu Pet, a barbie (pink or purple), and a hammer. Then she continued to tell Santa all sorts of things. After they were ready with the camera I set Brinley on his lap to try and avoid any crying but she adored him. She just wanted to stare at him and was all smiles. Once they shook the sleigh bells she turned her attention to the camera. And Snap! Santa thought they were pretty cool too and had all sorts of question for us and the girls. Then Keeley gave him a kiss and a hug, Santa kissed her on the head and she hoped down to get her coloring book. We gathered everything up to go and then turned to find Keeley back on Santas lap. She just couldn't get enough. The magic of Christmas makes me smile.

*Side Tracked*

Sorry if my last post seemed a little abrupt. It didn't end with some special note to baby Boo who has grown so fast rather just was left with the facts. Here is why:
While I was writing the "Half Birthday" post Brinely sat quietly next to me on the kitchen floor after my photos uploaded I looked down at Brinley to say hi and found her in poop up to her ears. literally. I have photos to document it. Eventually I'll get them off of Matt's camera to share with all of you. gross. I had to take her outside strip her naked spray her down with the hose then give her a warm bath to get her smelling normal again. Next time you think "Why hasn't Meg posted anything?" you will know I am a little traumatized. At least you will all believe me when I say she blows out every time. Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

half birthday

Brinley celebrated her half birthday with three shots at the doctors and a check up. Whoop Whoop! We had to go back for a quick little check up this week again to check on her ear and now I can give the official healthy baby stamp to her.A little bit about Brinley at 6 months
  • she sits like a pro and is starting to creep on her belly just a little bit
  • loves to be cuddled to sleep
  • is known as Baby Boo in our house. It sounds the cutest when Keeley says it.
  • She loves her little monkey sit and stand toy.
  • She is the happiest little thing and so chill all the time
  • I have been told twice this week that I need to enter her in baby contest. I have to agree she is pretty darn cute.
  • She slobbers like crazy (I mean like 2-3 outfits a day) and yet isn't teething.
  • She still has beautiful red hair and it is getting longer. Yippee
  • She wakes up at least 2 times a night. Ugh.
  • EV-ER-Y time she poops its a blow out (and yes I have tried different diapers and different sizes no luck, in other words I have a lot of laundry to do each week between slobber and poppy outfits.
  • She's 15 lbs 4 ounces (39% percentile) and 27 inches (94% percentile). That is only one percent smaller than Keeley in both weight and height.

Halloween

Halloween was a hit this year for Keeley. She asks me every day if we "can have Halloween." They made some pretty cute monkeys, the cutest if you ask me.
Matt did an install job to start the day off then when he came home we carved a pumkin, made some chilli (P.S. coke taste horrible in chili, in case you were going to try it) and then headed off to the Halloween Carnival at the church. Keeley loved it and we are still enjoying the candy from that.
After the carnival we went and did some traditional trick or treating just to say we did it NOT because they needed any more candy!

Brinley slept through most of Halloween but when she woke up she found her tail and spent some time playing with that while we did the last few houses. All in all it was a great day and a super fun filled weekend.

Fall Carnival

We had a ton of fun with our friends the Ellingtons on this excursion to the pumpkin patch.
Wesson and Keeley are best buddies. I LOVE this little boy he can hold Keeley's hand ANYTIME.Wesson is the man version Keeley. They are crazy together but less crazy than when they are apart plus they are so into each other.
While we were there we. . . .
jumped
rode tall slides
talked with the clown
took a hay ride

played on the fire truck
got a heart balloonrode the airplanes several times :)
and picked out the "perfect" pumpkin

What a day. Ohh by the way this precious little thing was HAPPY the entire time. What a good baby I have.

Whats "In" this Fall

Solids. . .

Isn't she cute with food in her mouth. Brinley started solids just after 4 months and she is becoming a pro at it these days. Her favorite. . .carrots but green beans should be left at the store in her opinion.

4 months

Okay we are taking a break from my back blogging to tell you about this little cutie.

Isn't she perfect. She has grown far to quickly for my liking. I was so excited everytime Keeley did something new as a baby but with Brinley I just want to hold on to her being little for more time. Things are crazy around our house, like always. Infact, Matt is in the middle of switching jobs which came 2 weeks earlier than we expected. Gotta love employers! But this little girl brings alot of happiness to us both. How can you be down when you look at a face like that. I took her into the Doctor today and here are her stats.

25.5 " -95th percentile
12 pounds 14 ounces -38th percentile

She is as healthy as can be but even skinnier than Keeley if that is possible. Matt and I both thought she was so chunky but I guess not. The doctor made a note that she was slowing down in her growth but said that she looked healthy and just to start her on solids in the next month to help her chunk up.

She has the cutest little chuckle. She always laughs with single sounds usually three single sounds to be exact. If you walk past her and don't stop to say hi she screams at you. Brinley loves attention.

She thinks her sister is so interesting but hates it when Keeley screams, then again who doesn't!

She started rolling in the past two weeks. Mostly from belly to back but she can be found under tables or falling of a couch with her aching back scoot that she has mastered.
Yes, her hair is still red and we love it! Once in a while we see the red head show through with a demanding act of "I must have it right now." Other than that Brinley is just as perfect as can be.
We love you baby girl, you are such a wonderful part or our lives. YOu make the stress melt away withthat little smile.

June

Lets see things here are as busy as usual so here is a very quick recap of June.

Brinley the burrower. This baby love a good snuggle session. Even if it is with the boppy.

Dad was here. Actually he comes back today. Wow I am really behind.
Brinley is almost as big as Keeley bu Keeley loves holding her "lil' sesiter."
Just cause she is cute.
Brinley was blessed. It was beautiful. What a blessing it is to me to have the priesthood in my home. Brinley was great and very beautiful.
Mark and Gail came to visit for the blessing. In the circle was , Randy Pope, Josh Draughon, Bishop David Lockhart, Randy Newcomer, Roland Garret, Mark Roberts and of Course Matt who gave the blessing.

Keeley got into my makeup again. I swear I never learn but she has and now she tries to properly apply mascara.
Happy Fourth. Keeley was sick for the 4th again! But we still enjoyed a few sparklers.

Veggies, Veggies, Veggies!

Okay that is reader digest version of June and the first week of July.

On a side note, I have been doing a little design work and started a design company called Schon Designs. I'll have the website up soon to share with everyone.

Garden Party

Flowers, bugs, sticks and mud
beware this post may get messy!

Saturday Keeley celebrated her 2nd birthday with this crazy party! Flowers, bugs, sticks and mud all favorites of Keeley's made this Garden party perfect for the 2 year olds we invited.

We had some fun planting flower pots and digging in mud (pudding), and dirt (oreo's) to find worms. below Sommer, Keeley, Ginger

Sommer caught a juicy one.
Then we had a round at the Pinata and it broke perfectly after we got to each of the children.

Here is Jonas taking a swing at the flower.

Ephram and Jentry are on a mad search for all the lost candy. The pinata was filled with toy bugs in addition to the candy. Each 2 year old had a garden pot to put all their finds in.

After all that hard work it was time to eat birthday cake, terra cotta style.

Happy to you Goosey (that is how Keeley sings happy birthday)!

Now its Keeley's favorite activity for the day.

Surprise face~ That must have been a pretty cool present.
A Big thank-you hug to everyone for making this an AWESOME (a choice word of Keeley's right now) birthday.
