11 Months

Yep, 11 months and walking!!! Just as I predicted. It started at church. She just decided she could do it. By that Wednesday she had given up on any crawling. She loves it and is very proud of her accomplishment.

Carrying a birthday present from Nanny Conner she found hidden under the guest bed.

Trying to sweep the floor for mommy.

D.C.

Keeley and I took a trip to D.C after my Mom flew into Fayetteville. We went with her on her business trip. We had a great time but what is even better we got to see some old friends we hadn't in a long time. We are grateful to have good friends who are willing to make time to see us in their busy schedules and a Nana who will take us with here when she is on the east coast.

Keeley and Nana

Bath time in the Hilton

Rujuta and I. Rujuta is one of my oldest friends and I haven't seen her in over 5 years. . .too long! Stace we are planning a girls trip in August hope you are up for it!

Keeley and I ventured out during the day when Mom was in meetings. One day we made it to the Air and Space Museum. Yes I look like a drowned rat that is because we ran from the metro to the museum in a torrential down pour. That was ONE rainy day.

A Bunny Visits

Easter in our house was very relaxed. Mom Conner flew in from Idaho the day before. The day started out with the Easter presents.

Then off to church. Mom took Keeley home after sacrament for a nap and by the time we got home she had prepped dinner. So we headed out for a walk around the neighborhood and then took a drive to see the dog woods, red buds and azaleas.

When we got back it was dinner time and we enjoyed quite the feast ham, deviled eggs, Ed & Dicks salad twice baked potatoes. What made it best was I didn't have to do much at all!!

Mad Hatters

For our quarterly enrichment night we had a Mad Hatters night. It was a lot of fun especially because Keely got to go with me. She is such a delight and entertainment for all who sit behind us. Although she wasn't keen on the game of musical chair with all the crazy ladies in hats.

Sonic

In North Carlina the parks are crummy for the most part. I really only know of two decent parks in the entire area, although there are probably others. They put very little effort into beautification of the city. Which for two landscapers disgusts us weekly. However, the other mom's here have taught me a trick. . . SONIC Happy Hour. They have a gigantic play area and huge cokes for only $1. How can you beat enjoying the sun and sipping on a coke while you watch the kids play. When the weather is nice you can find us there between 2-4 a couple times a week. Rebecca caught a few pictures of us enjoying our vist this day.Check out those ponytails!
